View from my bicycle

OK, anyone who knows my husband, Don, from his Allentown days can picture him riding his road bike all over town. He even biked to Indiana in five days!
Fast forward to him moving up to Moore Township, a bicyclist’s dream! Don had his tandem tuned up, and together we set out to explore the area I’ve lived in since 1994.
You can really see the beauty of an area when you aren’t traveling at 50 mph! I discovered scenic roads I never would have traveled and also met neighbors I’ve lived near for years. We both bought new hybrid bikes (a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike) for those occasions when Don wants more exercise than my “baby ride.”
The Lehigh Valley has so many great places to bike! Just pick up a copy of our Lehigh Valley Cycling Maps brochure (or download it from our web site) to get you started. You’ll see some beautiful countryside, and get a great cardio workout at the same time. Wave as you pass our house on the “Gap Gallop,” and don’t forget to wear a helmet!
Oh, and if you’ve never experienced cycling as a spectator sport, reserve June 2, 2009 to see the Commerce Bank Triple Crown of Cycling races in Allentown and check out the Valley Preferred Cycling Center’s Friday night races in the summer.
