It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

And I’m not just saying that because it’s the holiday season. I’m excited for the return of Rude Elf’s Reserve! What is that you ask? It’s my most favorite microbrew from The Brew Works; both the Allentown and Bethlehem locations.
I first tried it about five years ago, when it went by another similar name. Visiting Bethlehem Brew Works, I asked the waitress what beer she recommended and she told me Rude Elf’s Reserve. After hearing a description of it (medium-to-dark beer with essences of cloves and cinnamon) I thought it sounded disgusting but decided to try it anyway based on her recommendation alone.
It was, and possibly still is, the highest alcohol content beer Brew Works makes, so it is served in a large goblet instead of a traditional beer mug.
One sip and I was hooked.
There’s no way to describe it except that it tastes like Christmas. But since the brew is seasonal, I can only get it this time of year. This year, I think I need to buy a growler so I can have a jug of my own to take home and enjoy.
Hey Fegleys! Can one of you please tell me when my favorite beer will bless me with its presence at either restaurant’s location? I’m thirsty!
