Louie’s has my vote for “Best Italian Food” in the Valley

Friday nights are my family’s “out to dinner” night so last Friday we decided not to go to a chain and support a local restaurant – Louie’s in Allentown – instead.
I thought it was going to be packed but we were able to get a table right away.
Every time I go I have to get their famous tossed salad – it’s tossed in their special oil and vinegar concoction with gorgonzola cheese sprinkled on top. And of course, I got the stromboli – love that too!
Another thing that surprised me was the live music. A man was playing the piano and singing some good oldies tunes; I liked that he threw some new songs in there too!
Next time I go back I’m hoping it’s for the lunch buffet. Each day of the week they have different food on the buffet. I’d like to try either Wednesday: “Pizza Day” or Friday: “Eggplant Parmigiana/Italian Baked Chicken/Ziti Day”.
Have you been to Louie’s? What’s your favorite thing on the menu?
