Erin Go Bragh at St. James Gate Irish Pub and Carvery

It was Friday at lunchtime and I wanted to try a new place in Lehigh Valley. I have been to all of the other restaurants at Sands except this one, so I figured why not?
Stepping into the restaurant, which is right off the casino floor, I immediately thought “traditional Irish pub.” Not only did the ambiance say Ireland, but the food also had an authentic flair.
Lunch for me consisted of a rotisserie chicken salad club sandwich complete with Irish bacon. And, I couldn’t resist trying the house-made chips which were served with spicy curry and Cashel blue cheese. I am so glad I didn’t resist! They were well worth the extra pounds I probably put on.
Of course, I didn’t try what was recommended prior to going, which was the Bangers and Mash (Irish sausage, scallion mashed potatoes, baked beans and grilled tomatoes), which means I will have to go back. But I am fine with that since the service and atmosphere were great! They seem to have a lot of good things on the menu to choose from and they even have entertainment certain nights which will make it even more worth the trip.
Have you ever been to St. James Gate? If so, is there something else I need to try on the menu?
Are there any other traditional Irish pubs in Lehigh Valley that I can compare it to?
