February golf shows bring March Lehigh Valley golf

Each year around this time Discover Lehigh Valley heads out to the two North Coast Golf Shows in the Mid-Atlantic area to promote its Lehigh Valley Stay & Play Golf Packages. My personal experience at this year’s shows at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, NJ and at the Greater Oaks, PA Expo Center reinforced the fact that Lehigh Valley has a ton to offer when it comes to golf. While golfers of all ages attended both shows, it’s my recollection that the Greater Oaks, PA golf show really impressed as far as overall attendance and in the amount of Lehigh Valley information we handed out.
The conversations I experienced with the golfers this year centered around the winter weather obviously, the Lehigh Valley golf product being showcased, and of course, the new equipment.
Seeing and meeting with many of the same golfers at our booth each year and talking about the various courses in Lehigh Valley is certainly good feedback for us in evaluating our packages. Having golfers mention Southmoore, Olde Homestead and Center Valley Club as some of their favorite places to play, while also never forgetting to mention that Morgan Hill is a severe test of golf for all golfers of all skill levels. Will they return to Allentown Municipal, my home course … always gets a favorable review at these shows and this year did not disappoint. Some of the golfers from New Jersey couldn’t believe the layout at Allentown Muni and the fantastic shape it was in. I can see where these golfers are coming from, having personally played almost every course in the area, especially those offered in our Stay & Play packages every year. The days in the booth pushing the packages can be long, but the general public really helps pass the time.
Are you planning to hit any of Lehigh Valley’s links this year?
