King Henry Hits the Stage

I had never been to Penn’s Peak for a show until recently, when Marc and I were invited to visit Penn’s Peak to experience a luncheon show, King Henry and The Showmen. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and it turns out I was not disappointed in the slightest.
We were greeted by Lynn, who not only does group sales but also performs in the show as well! We had a delicious family style lunch and talked to the other people at our table to see where they were visiting from. Three of the people from our table hailed from our neck of the woods in Lehigh Valley. As I looked around, I couldn’t help but notice there isn’t a bad seat in the place!
King Henry and the Showmen came onto the stage…the laughs and great music didn’t stop until the end. If you have never seen King Henry you can expect great music like Elvis – Rock Around the Clock, Sinatra, 50’s music, Johnny Cash and the theme from The Godfather. But that’s not all folks, they have a hilarious comedy routine that will make you belly laugh!
I thought that the “little Italian guy,” Gary, had stole the show with his comedic commentary, until Lynn stepped out for her first song. She has a set of pipes on her that I didn’t see coming. Her rendition of “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion was absolutely amazing!
If you haven’t been to a show, lunch, dinner, or concert at the Peak, I strongly suggest visiting them in the near future. It’s not even a bad ride, over the river and through the tunnel to Penn’s Peak we go. Who have you seen perform at Penn’s Peak?
