2011Musikfest

Well it is upon us.  10 days of music and madness.  I, for one, am looking forward to the start of “the Fest” and in particular the Stone Temple Pilots concert on Musikfest’s new main stage, the Sands Steel Stage. I’m sure it will be an impressive show at a great new venue. With the stacks as a magnificent backdrop, we might even get a smile out of lead singer, Scott Weiland.

As always, Musikfest will feature the traditional Musikfest experience on the city’s North Side, with plenty of great, free music, food and fun in Bethlehem’s historic district. But the 10-day event will also be offering a more intimate festival experience at SteelStacks. With the exception of the aforementioned Sands Steel Stage main stage, the Musikfest venues at SteelStacks will hold anywhere from 100 or 200 people up to 2,500.

And the food … What can you say?  From Hungarian to Mexican to Polish and Italian there really is something for everyone. I can’t wait to get my hands on some beans and rice at Hogar Crea’s stand, a few pierogies, a slice of pizza, a steak sandwich, some haluski, well you get the picture.

Don’t worry I didn’t forget; get your mugs ready, fest is here. What’s your favorite part of Musikfest Lehigh Valley? Do tell.
