Pasta Alla Rosa, Two Days in a Row
August 26th, 2011 posted by Kim Lilly
I’ve been working in downtown Allentown now for close to five years. You can only imagine the amount of times I have walked up and down Hamilton Street, especially when trying to find grub at lunchtime. I actually had a first (and second) time experience this week, believe it or not! I chose a place that I had never been to, Pasta Alla Rosa, not once, but twice. This quaint little Italian place is at the corner of 6th and Hamilton Streets.
Lunch on day #1: This was the better day out of the two, not because the food was any better, it’s just because the boss paid for my meal! I chose one of the weekly specials, grilled salmon with a side of linguine in a garlic and olive oil sauce. Price = $11.95. This turned out to be two meals for me and was absolutely delicious.
Lunch on day #2: A couple of other colleagues joined me who had never been to the place either. I chose the tuna salad plate (pictured). This was also an enormous portion of fun salad items that made my taste buds very happy. Price = $7.50.
My lunch partners enjoyed the Italian Wedding Soup and two of them had the original chopped salad which looked awesome. I think all of us will be heading back. They offer to-go items or sit down dining.
Have you been to Pasta Alla Rosa? Where’s your favorite Lehigh Valley Italian spot to dine?
