Bethlehem has Gone to the Dogs

Lehigh Valley is home to many special events in the fall, although one of my favorite events took place this past Saturday in Bethlehem; the 4th Annual Doggie Day. This event is special to me because my life is controlled by a six-year-old Welsh Corgi named Snickers.
Saturday’s event featured a marketplace with a variety of canine vendors, ranging from rescue organizations to pet photographers. It was a great opportunity to visit with these worthwhile companies and learn a little more about their mission. I was even able to spend some quality time with employees of A Furry Tail Come True, a doggie daycare where Snickers is a client.
After speaking with the vendors, it was time for the Mutt Strutt Parade. This was a unique parade that featured a wide variety of dogs dressed in some very interesting costumes. Prizes were awarded in 5 different categories including scariest costume, most creative and pet-owner look alike. This last category included a Pug and her owner dressed as a lady bug. This was a true crowd-pleaser.
Following the parade I stopped by the Pawfectly Healthy booth for some treats. Snickers is a huge fan of their products including the beef twists, oatmeal cookies and peanut butter treats. She was extremely excited about my purchases.
The Doggie Day featured so many great businesses. What is your favorite pet business in Lehigh Valley?
