Girls Weekend in Bethlehem Part 2: Confessions of a Shopaholic

For the second day/night of my roomie reunion in Lehigh Valley, we planned to do what girls do best: shop till we drop. As we arrived at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, I could feel the buyer’s remorse coming on already. After yummy comfort food at Red Robin, we grabbed some caffeine, planned our attack, and mentally prepared ourselves. We did the most damage at New York & Company and Sage, a really unique store with anything from Vera Bradley to Ugg and the coolest dressing rooms I’ve ever seen. A second stop at Starbucks and we were on to the main event.
Finally, our visit to the new Coach Factory Outlet at the Shoppes at Sands was upon us. I could have sworn the angels sang as we walked in. We meandered around the store for over an hour, marveling at the amazing prices and attempting not to buy everything. It took some justifying as to why we came in for one item and left with five, but we had already forgotten about it by the time we got to Lehigh Valley Mall. Macy’s, Forever 21, Sephora, and Coach (just in case we missed something) were all we could handle after such a long day. Being a fashionista is exhausting… plus we couldn’t fit any more bags in the trunk.
Ending the weekend with a bang was necessary so back to the Sands Casino we went. Gambling really takes the edge off when you’ve put a large dent in your bank account. Nobody won their money back, but getting dolled up and playing the slots was too much fun. We’re a little out of practice since leaving college, therefore sleepiness took over by midnight. Lehigh Valley definitely showed us a fabulous time and we can’t wait to come back! But next time, I’m leaving my credit card at home.
