Lehigh Valley IronPigs Emulate Fenway’s “Green Monster” with New Seating for 2013 Season

Boston’s Fenway Park is iconic for its massive left-field wall known as the “Green Monster.” The wall is feared by players for its home run eating height and loved by fans for its impressive presence.
It’s become a long-time source of pride for fans of the Boston Red Sox, who crowd the seats behind the Monster for each and every game.
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are hoping their new seating sections for 2013, one taking a cue from the massive New England edifice, will be equally as pride inducing.
The Hot Corner, named for its remarkably close proximity to third base, is located directly below the PPL Picnic Patio and provides a one-of-a-kind environment on the Field Level. The Bacon Strip, providing a similar look and feel to the famed “Green Monster” seats at Fenway Park, is a bi-level seating area located along the right field wall that is expected to be among the most desired seating inventory at Coca-Cola Park.
Both areas are available for groups of 20 or more beginning on Wednesday, December 12 at 10 a.m. by calling (610) 841-PIGS (7447) or by visiting Coca-Cola Park during normal business hours. Individual ticket sales commence once single-game tickets go on sale to the general public during the club’s annual National Pig Day celebration at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday, March 2, 2013. A great way to beat the winter drive-to-work-and-head-home-in-the-dark-blues is to dream about baseball. And, since Lehigh Valley is home to the best minor league team in the United States, those daydreams are usually pretty good. Now you can add some better seating options to your daydreams about home runs and stand-up triples with the “Bacon Strip” and “Hot Corner.”
Only a few months until we can all play ball.
