Beat the Heat this Weekend in Lehigh Valley

It’s no secret that this past week has been a bit on the toasty side. Hopefully, the temperatures will break a bit this upcoming weekend, but if not- check out some of our suggestions on how the beat the heat. Pull yourself away from those air conditioners and get out and have some fun- all while staying cool.
If you’re hoping to get some outdoor time, take a ride down the river with Delaware River Tubing. You’ll enjoy a relaxing float down the Delaware River and will even be treated to a BBQ meal at the end of your ride!
Want a little more adventure? Head up to Bushkill Falls and hike one of their trails. The views are spectacular, and you can choose from a variety of trails depending on your skill and the level of challenge that you’re looking for. If you’re trying to keep it pretty easy, stick to the Green or Yellow trails- both still give you great views of the falls!
A great way to stay cool while still being outside is to head to the caverns. Take your pick from either Lost River Caverns or the Crystal Cave. Both locations offer tours that will take your through the caverns, you’ll get to stay cool while exploring the beautiful scenery!
If the heat is still too much to bear (we don’t blame you), there are still great ways to stay active while enjoying some good old air conditioning. Lehigh Valley Laser Tag offers fun for the whole family. It’s the only place like it in the area; you’ll be in for an action-packed afternoon with their multi-level arena.
If relaxing is more your speed, check out a film at the Civic Theatre of Allentown where you’ll get a chance to catch a flick that isn’t in the mainstream theatres. Leaning towards a live performance? Head on over to Muhlenberg College for the MSMT production of Jesus Christ Superstar! You won’t be disappointed with the talent there.
No matter what you’re in the mood to do this weekend, Lehigh Valley has plenty of ways to stay cool while still having a great time!
