Lehigh Valley Airshow Flys into Town

This past weekend, I along with at least 40,000 others attended the Sands Lehigh Valley Airshow. I was caught in traffic like most of those in attendance, was it worth the wait in the car? Yes! Was it also worth the 16 year wait since the last Lehigh Valley Airshow? Absolutely.

Did you go Saturday or Sunday? It didn’t matter. The shows were both brilliant and we had beautiful weather the entire weekend.

Not all of the action was in the sky, there was plenty to eat and do on the ground. Static displays, old cars, food to get you ready for the Great Allentown Fair and friends, the ones you came with or the ones you met at the show.

But there was a lot of excitement in the air, flag jumps, a B-25, vintage military planes, kit planes, and enough loops to outdo Top Gun pilots!

Organizers are talking about making the event an annual one, I applaud the notion and I’m sure I won’t be the only one who will show up next year.
