What’s Happening: July 8 – 10

  • Julius Caesar at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival: (through Sunday, July 17) Honor and treachery, idealism and corruption, intimacy and enmity collide in one of the signature events in human history. The Ides of March have come…but not gone. Don’t miss this spectacular classic, directed by Patrick Mulcahy.   • phl soulPhiladelphia Soul vs. Cleveland Gladiators: (Saturday, July 9) Head to Allentown’s PPL Center for a special appearance by the Philadelphia Soul arena football team. The game promises plenty of fast-paced fun; perfect for those that are missing football games during the off-season! Tickets for the event start as low as $13. Learn more.
  • Easton Area Heritage Day: (Sunday, July 10) Heritage Day celebrates Easton’s historic significance in the founding of the United States with a free, full-day family festival that showcases local history, offers activities for kids, and concludes with an amazing fireworks display over the Forks of the Delaware. Hear the reading at noon on July 10 and check out war encampments, stroll with colonial reenactors and see period crafters. Stay for the evening festival at Riverside and Scott Parks; fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Learn more.
  • B104 Family Fun Day at Da Vinci Science Center: (Sunday, July 10) The Da Vinci Science Center and B104 re-dedicate the Center’s B104 Honeybee Hive officially and present a swarm of fun bee-themed activities for kids and families. You can even enjoy a sample of the honey made by the bees! Learn more.
  • Bethlehem Steel FC vs. the Pittsburgh Riverhounds: (Sunday, July 10) Come on out to Lehigh University’s Goodman Stadium for an afternoon of fun for the whole family! Be sure to stop and say hello to Discover Lehigh Valley at the game – you might even get a special gift! Learn more.
