What’s Happening: August 19 – 21

  • Air Traffic Controller at the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks: (Friday, August 19) Join indie pop due Air Traffic Controller for a free show at on the SteelStacks campus. Each summer, more than 50 free concerts are hosted at the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks, ranging from all genres of music. The venue also hosts a number of free family movie nights. Learn more.
  • Bethlehem VegFest: (Saturday, August 20) As one of the nation’s only vegan food festivals, Bethlehem VegFest includes cooking demonstrations, renowned speakers, live music, as well as over 100 food, small business, and craft vendors from up and down the east coast. The Greenway fills with vegan and vegetarian festival goers, and others just curious to learn more about the vegan lifestyle. Learn more.roasting ears of corn
  • Roasting Ears of Corn Festival: (Saturday, August 20 & Sunday, August 21) This annual event hosted by the Museum of Indian Culture brings a weekend of American Indian drumming, singing, dancing, food, and more. See Native American cooking and flintknapping demonstrations, artifact displays, a Plains Indian tipi, and mountain man fur trade encampments. Experience throwing a tomahawk or using an atlatl (spear thrower). Peruse the marketplace for Native American jewelry, fine art, and clothing. Learn more.
  • Pride in the Park: (Sunday, August 21) This annual event includes vendors, merchants, artisans, business services and community groups, games and live entertainment. Pride in the Park has grown to include over 4,000 attendees and is held at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown. Learn more.
