I Believe That We Will Win

The grass in front of the Levitt Pavilion was green, the sky was blue, the Blast Furnaces of Bethlehem Steel stood in all their glory and below, on that grass and the concrete stood thousands of people decked out in red, white, and blue to cheer on the United States Men’s National Team, as they battled in the Group of Death, Group G, during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

It was the best place to watch the game if you couldn’t travel to Brazil, and there’s more to come.

Not One Bad Seat in the House

I’ll admit that I am not the biggest hockey fan, but I’m also not a bandwagon Johnny come lately, either. I watch the NHL playoffs every year. I don’t have a team, but I really do enjoy the sport. What does this all mean? It means that TV hockey, even if it’s the NHL playoffs, can’t hold a candle to the real thing!

Whatever you call it, it is Beautiful.

Exactly, one month and one day ago, on September 23rd, the autumnal equinox occurred, ushering in the first day of fall. And, there are only 58 days remaining in fall before the winter solstice ushers in winter on December 21st. Without discussing the Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Hanukkah or the last shopping weekend before Christmas, let’s look at a few Lehigh Valley seasonal musts!

Wait … is it autumn or fall? It doesn’t matter anymore, and the know-it-all would say, that it is harvest, because that’s what it was called before it was called autumn or fall. So for this post, let’s just agree to disagree, because I don’t consistently call it the same thing in my own speech!

It may seem early, but people have already started talking about their Thanksgiving plans. Some of those plans are invariably about shopping, but there are plenty of other things to do and you don’t have to be a gourmet chef to enjoy a good Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving either. You can visit a restaurant with a chef, who will do all the cooking and cleanup for you!

Here are the places where you can eat, play and shop on Thanksgiving. (Check back, as we will update this as we get more information)
