Why are dads seemingly always much harder to buy for than moms? Is it because moms like more stuff or because dads always seem to have what they want?

I think it’s because dads generally don’t want a big fuss made about them, even on Father’s Day. So, it may be difficult to figure out just what to get the guy who probably doesn’t want you to get him anything.

If you’re looking for an awesome dessert section, this is the diner for you. With cases of fresh cakes and pies you can’t go wrong with any choice. Their large dining rooms and bar leave plenty of room for a comfortable dinner with a great menu. Their gyro’s are a must-try!

Starting this past weekend, the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley kicked off a new exhibit- and it’s one that you don’t want to miss!

Through September 1st, you can stop by the exhibit Toulouse-Lautrec and His World, which is included in your regular admission to the museum.  The exhibit is on loan from the collection of the Herakleidon Museum in Athens, Greece and will only be making two other stops in the United States, making the Allentown Art Museum its closest location to both Philadelphia and New York City.

It’s that time of year when I pull out my old soccer mom chair and put it in the trunk next to my convenient roll up blanket with handles. On any given day, and night, you can catch free concerts all throughout Lehigh Valley and I always want to be prepared.

There are way too many locations to talk about so I’m going to narrow it down to my top five…in no particular order. Feel free to comment with your favorites too, so everyone gets a well-deserved shout-out.

After all, riding the Talon roller coaster at Dorney Park wouldn’t be as much fun without the daylight allowing you to see for miles. Watching an IronPigs game without the lights on probably wouldn’t make for the best father/son bonding experience.

Mayfair Festival of the Arts enters its 27th year in a new location, a section of the Allentown Faigrounds, and here are a few things you should know about the new location to make the most of your visit during its May 24-27 run.

1. All of Mayfair’s beloved art, events, music and kid’s activities will be back! They will just be in a new spot. And we think change is good.

An Evening with Groucho

I am a Marx Brothers fan. So being able to see An Evening with Groucho at Miller Symphony Hall this past Saturday night seemed like a blast. It was.

An Evening with Groucho is a show starring Frank Ferrante as Groucho, accompanied by pianist Jim Furmston. It starts when Jim comes onstage to play a Medley from the Marx Brothers Films. From there, hold onto your hat.
