Okay, I’ll say it. I love the summertime just as much as the next person, but there’s just something about the fall that breathes some fresh life into me. The crisp feel of the air, pumpkin spice everything, boots and sweaters – I can’t get enough of it. And here in Lehigh Valley, there are plenty of ways to take advantage of the best (okay, that’s just my opinion) season of the year.
These five activities are a must for any autumn bucket list!Continue Reading
Living in the eastern Pennsylvania we are afforded the luxury of four seasons, albeit of late it seems as if we only have two. But rest assured fall is here, and the season makes for the perfect time to hit the links. The weather isn’t as humidity, the courses aren’t as crowded, and the scenery is absolutely magnificent. Plus, a lot of the courses offer fall discounts as well.Continue Reading

St. Patrick’s Day is usually the time of year in Lehigh Valley where a glint of spring begins to shine down on the streets that just a few weeks ago were feet deep in snow. It’s the first time in the new year focused on getting outside and celebrating with friends and family without the protective gear you’d see on at Ski Blue Mountain.
Thankfully, Lehigh Valley is home to not one, but two great St. Patrick’s Day city celebrations in for the form of the 58th Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the 5th Celtic Classic Parade of the Shamrocks in downtown Bethlehem. If you’re like us, you’re going to attend both, but if you have to decide, we’ll give you a breakdown on both as well as a few other events going on throughout the area.Continue Reading

Sure, you’ve had plenty of Weyerbacher beers over the years.
There’s my favorite, the complexly flavored Merry Monks There’s Verboten, the 5.9% ABV, is a Belgian-style Pale Ale with an American twist. There’s the seasonally awesome Imperial Pumpkin Ale and… well, let’s just say that there are a ton of Weyerbacher beers.Continue Reading

Fall might be my favorite time for beers- I’m a sucker for anything pumpkin! While the days may be getting shorter, there is definitely no shortage of excitement surround the Lehigh Valley Ale Trail. Check out a few of our highlights from the last few months.
Local favorites Fegley’s Brew Works and Weyerbacher Brewing Company have both had wonderful seasons with their respective pumpkin beers. If you haven’t had a chance to sample these brews yet, I highly recommend that you do so before it’s too late. Both breweries offer tours on weekends; Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works on Saturdays (, free but by reservation only), and Weyerbacher on Fridays & Saturdays (free). Be sure to enjoy a sampling of beers after you hear about what goes into the process.Continue Reading

Not surprisingly, 7 of the 8 that made it to the Elite Eight were there last year as well, but the Final Four isn’t the same old, same old.
Only two of last year’s Final Four have made it back, Stay #1 seed Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Eat #1 seed Allentown Brew Works and they are going to face each other this round.Continue Reading
