During the winter months, kids are itching to get out of the house for some fun. Discover Lehigh Valley, along with participating hotels, is proud to partner with the Crayola Experience™  to bring you our Stay & Create package.

New for 2015, Stay & Create allows visitors to dive in and fully enjoy all of the aspects of the Crayola Experience. Located in Easton, PA, visitors enter a world of discovery as they experience hands-on activities as well as learn how Crayola Crayons® and Markers are made. This is not the real manufacturing plant, it’s a colorful and interesting visitor center that allows children of all ages to unleash their creative spirit.

A Hungry Nine-Year-Old

“Mom, Dad, I’m hungry.” This phrase is common place in our household, especially with a son that seems to always have his head in the refrigerator. If your house is like ours, we are often in need of a cooking break (more my wife than me) so the next question is, where should we go?” Our son, Noah, is as picky as they come when it comes to eating out.

So, I interviewed one hungry nine-year-old and here are his recommendations. I had to take some liberties and make some modifications, but all-in-all, this is his list. I hope it helps those in need with finding some new, and perhaps some old, eating establishments that are definitely kid-friendly.

Second Round

The First Round is complete, the votes have been tallied and it is time to both announce and start the 2014 Lehigh Valley Lunacy Second Round.

Being a high seed is better this year than last. All #1, #2 and #3 seeds made it out of the First Round. In fact, compared to last year’s 12 First Round upsets, this year’s 8 is mild.

I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So today I’ve chosen to do something a little different with my blog, and see if this adage really holds true. I’m going to experiment with a photo blog. That’s right, a photo blog.

With crispness in the Lehigh Valley air and fall on the horizon, here are 10 places that you must check out locally and get your picture taken at. These are not ranked in any particular order, so no harsh criticism; with the exception of letting me know if I missed any “must sees.” I dropped them all into Instagram because it makes any picture look good.
