Go Wild at the Lehigh Valley Zoo

From African Penguins to Zebras

You don’t have to travel far to get a glimpse of unique animals. Located within Lehigh Valley’s Trexler Nature Preserve, you’ll find the Lehigh Valley Zoo.

While the Zoo in its current form has only been open for 11 years, the history of the Trexler Nature Preserve spans over a century. Throughout the property, you can hike a number of trails for all difficulty levels, take in stunning vistas from overlook points, and even spot some wild friends like bison and elk. Each year, more the 30,000 local students take part in the Zoo’s educational programs.

Bethlehem Steel FC hits the field.

Drink in hand, scarf on shoulders, and the team chants begin… The first home match of Bethlehem Steel FC has come and gone. It may have been windy and slightly chilly, but the sun was shining! The team put on a good showing, though falling 2-1 to FC Cincinnati. But the best part of the day? Soccer football is officially back in Lehigh Valley!

This is professional football right in your backyard. From the players looking to make a jump from Bethlehem Steel FC up to the Philadelphia Union, to the hardcore fans led by the East End Army, this is what football is all about.
