Main Street, Lehigh Valley

Lehigh Valley is home to a great variety of Main Streets from Bethlehem’s iconic Christmas feel to Easton’s new restaurant row to Emmaus’ quaint hometown Americana atmosphere.

One of the true beauties of living in or visiting Lehigh Valley is that there are so many different Main Street areas to visit, that you couldn’t head to them all in one day. We recently asked some of our Facebook fans to tell us what their favorite Main Street areas were in Lehigh Valley and why. We offered up some Lehigh Valley Zoo tickets to random commenters! Here are some of the answers:

The beautiful Blast Furnaces!

I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage “A picture is worth a thousand words.” So today I’ve chosen to do something a little different with my blog, and see if this adage really holds true. I’m going to experiment with a photo blog. That’s right, a photo blog.

With crispness in the Lehigh Valley air and fall on the horizon, here are 10 places that you must check out locally and get your picture taken at. These are not ranked in any particular order, so no harsh criticism; with the exception of letting me know if I missed any “must sees.” I dropped them all into Instagram because it makes any picture look good.

Point Phillips Hotel

Finally! After waiting for years the Point Phillips Hotel is once again open. I was there for dinner during its first week and can honestly say it was well worth the wait.

Hair by Eskandalo!

Lehigh Valley is known for having an almost disproportionately large number of hair salons and barber shops.

Most people I know are very loyal to their stylist often following them if they change shops. For close to 20 years I drove 90 minutes to go to the same lady but unfortunately for me, she retired.

Bethlehem Main Street lights

Wow! I just realized that in 15 days Thanksgiving will be here. Even crazier is that in just 16 days one of our local radio stations usually turns to all Christmas music until the holiday has passed. I happen to absolutely love holiday music. It makes me happy.

When I think about it and all the wonderful things Lehigh Valley has going on during this time, I am truly blessed to live and work in a region that has a town known as Christmas City, a.k.a. Bethlehem.
