I was fortunate to get out of the office for lunch with a few colleagues earlier in the week. We stopped at Fiesta Ole on MacArthur Rd. in Whitehall where the food and service were great.

So, that got me thinking. What are the best places to experience Mexican food here in Lehigh Valley?

Taking a break from pizza for a while, I decided to do a complete 180-degree turn and give you my top five Asian restaurants in Lehigh Valley. So let’s not waste anytime . . .

5. Bay Leaf – This hidden gem located on Hamilton St. in Allentown has been around for 30 years so this must be doing something right. Being so close to the restaurant my colleagues and I often frequent Bay Leaf. Let me recommend the Thai Fried Rice shrimp with crabmeat and vegetables. Enjoy.

BYOB in Lehigh Valley

It used to be that BYOB was a four letter word. Many establishments that were BYOB 5-10 years ago (with a few notable exceptions) were either hard to find or weren’t necessarily associated with “fine dining.”

Now, BYOB restaurants are some of the most popular (and some of the finest) throughout Lehigh Valley. “Bringing your own” can lead to a more casual dining experience and one that guarantees great conversation and relaxed atmosphere.

America on Wheels

Why are dads seemingly always much harder to buy for than moms? Is it because moms like more stuff or because dads always seem to have what they want?

I think it’s because dads generally don’t want a big fuss made about them, even on Father’s Day. So, it may be difficult to figure out just what to get the guy who probably doesn’t want you to get him anything.

Becky's Drive-In

We could write a book on all the daytime activities there are to do in Lehigh Valley. Well, we kinda did.

After all, riding the Talon roller coaster at Dorney Park wouldn’t be as much fun without the daylight allowing you to see for miles. Watching an IronPigs game without the lights on probably wouldn’t make for the best father/son bonding experience.
