Every year I ask my sister Kathy what I should bring for Thanksgiving dinner and her answer is always “Just yourselves.” Despite what she says, I usually try to think of something that will survive the 90-minute drive and be ready to serve…WINE!
Not exactly an original idea, I know, but what kind to bring has fueled some debate. Should I focus on bringing something to go with the turkey? Or should I bring a good Cabernet Sauvignon? A dry white? Sweet? Semi-sweet? It is hard to please everyone with just a couple bottles, and I certainly didn’t want to commit a social faux pas by bringing a wine that was “so last season” (and don’t pretend you don’t know what I mean.
